Our building was constructed in 1889, making it one of the oldest licensed hotels in the state of Michigan. Built from sandstone, we’ve kept our building beautiful and historic while still making modern updates. The business that you see now is proudly owned and operated by a local woman.
Buttered Rebellion got its name because butter was the first export out of Brown City, MI. Today, we continuously strive source all of our produce locally.
